Parma Ladies Open: Bondar upsets Tomova to make semi-finals
Anna Bondar won against Viktoriya Tomova 7-5, 6-4 on Thursday and will play the winner of Jaqueline Cristian and Ana Bogdan in the next round

Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 7 seed, advanced to the last four of the Parma Ladies Open by winning against Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 4 seed, 7-5, 6-4 on Thursday afternoon.
Bondar, ranked No 105, will play the winner of the match between No 5 seed Jaqueline Cristian and second seed Ana Bogdan next.
Ahead of her victory, the Hungarian beat German wildcard Silvia Ambrosio (6-2, 6-2) and Croat qualifier Antonia Ruzic (6-1, 6-4). Tomova, ranked No 85, won against Italian wildcard Eleonora Alvisi (7-5, 1-6, 6-0) and Russian Erika Andreeva (6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
