Parma Ladies Open: Bogdan into final

Romanian Ana Bogdan, the second seed, advanced to the final of the Parma Ladies Open by beating Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 7 seed, 6-3, 5-3 on Friday afternoon.
Bogdan, ranked No 71, will face the winner of the match between Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, the top seed, and Pole qualifier Katarzyna Kawa next.
The Romanian won against Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera (6-1, 7-5), Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska (4-6, 6-2, 6-4) and No 5 seed Jaqueline Cristian (4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (1)) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Bondar, ranked No 105, won against German wildcard Silvia Ambrosio (6-2, 6-2), Croat qualifier Antonia Ruzic (6-1, 6-4) and Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 4 seed (7-5, 6-4).
