Parma Ladies Open: Bogdan comeback books semi-final spot
Ana Bogdan edged out Jaqueline Cristian 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (1) on Thursday afternoon. She’ll play Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 7 seed, in the next round

Second seed Ana Bogdan advanced to the semi-finals of the Parma Ladies Open by edging out No 5 seed Jaqueline Cristian 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (1) on Thursday afternoon.
Bogdan, ranked No 71, will play Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 7 seed, next.
Ana Bogdan beat Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera (6-1, 7-5) and edged out Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska (4-6, 6-2, 6-4) earlier in the tournament. In the previous rounds, Cristian, ranked No 107, won against Italian Sara Errani (6-2, 6-4) and Dutch qualifier Eva Vedder (6-4, 6-3).
