Paolini, Kalinskaya hit career-highs – WTA rankings update
Paolini rises to No 14 while Iga Swiatek remains on top
Jasmine Paolini and Anna Kalinskaya were the two biggest climbers in the top echelons of the WTA rankings on Monday with both women enjoying new career-highs.
Paolini beat Kalinskaya in the final of the Dubai International for the biggest victory of her career and the Italian’s reward is a new career-high ranking of No 14.
Russian Kalinskaya, who stunned Sloane Stephens, Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek on her way to her first big final, moves up 16 places to No 24.
Swiatek well clear at top
Swiatek remains well clear on top of the WTA rankings, almost 1400 points clear of Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka.
Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova is up one place to No 7 while Maria Sakkari is back in the top 10, rising two places on the week. Elina Svitolina is up three places to No 17.
