Palermo Open: Top seed Zheng through to second round

Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the top seed, moved into the second round of the Palermo Open by beating Italian Sara Errani 6-3, 6-2 at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Tuesday evening.

Zheng, ranked No 7, will face the winner of the match between Colombian Emiliana Arango and Croat Petra Martic next.
