Palermo Open: Teichmann eases past Ristic on birthday to make second round
The Swiss will meet the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 4 seed, and Australian qualifier Olivia Gadecki in the next round
Swiss qualifier Jil Teichmann won against Serb qualifier Mia Ristic 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Palermo Open at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Monday.
It turned out to be a happy birthday for Teichmann, who turned 27 on Monday.
Teichmann, ranked No 211, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 4 seed, and Australian qualifier Olivia Gadecki next.
