Australian Astra Sharma won against Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 6 seed, 6-0, 7-5 to advance to the second round of the Palermo Open at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Monday evening.
Sharma, ranked No 151, will face the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Ajla Tomljanovic and Egyptian Mayar Sherif next.
