Palermo Open: Parrizas Diaz moves into last eight

Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 8 seed, reached the last eight of the Palermo Open by winning against Austrian lucky loser Julia Grabher 6-2, 6-4 at A.S.D. Country Time Club in Palerme on Thursday afternoon.
Parrizas Diaz, ranked No 54, will face Italian Jasmine Paolini next.
Ahead of her victory, the Spaniard edged out American qualifier Asia Muhammad (4-6, 7-5, 7-5).
Grabher, ranked No 145, defeated Chinese Xinyu Wang (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round.
