Qualifier Noma Noha Akugue moved into the second round of the Palermo Open by defeating qualifier Mona Barthel 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Monday evening.
Noha Akugue, ranked No 197, will play the winner of the match between Pole qualifier Katarzyna Kawa and second seed Karolina Muchova next.
