Palermo Open: Muchova through to second round as Kawa retires
The Czech will face qualifier Noma Noha Akugue in the next round

No 2 seed Karolina Muchova moved into the second round of the Palermo Open when Pole qualifier Katarzyna Kawa retired on Monday.
Muchova, ranked No 35, led 7-6 (14), 5-1 when Kawa, ranked No 192, pulled out at A.S.D. Country Time Club.
The Czech will play qualifier Noma Noha Akugue next.
