Spaniard Cristina Bucsa edged out Maltese lucky loser Francesca Curmi 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 to reach the last 16 of the Palermo Open at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Tuesday evening.
Bucsa, ranked No 81, will play Frenchwoman Clara Burel next.
