No 7 seed Anna Bondar won against Panna Udvardy 6-2, 6-4 to move into the last 8 of the Palermo Open at A.S.D. Country Time Club in Palerme on Wednesday evening.
Bondar, ranked No 50, will face the winner of the match between French qualifier Leolia Jeanjean and Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Anna Bondar defeated Frenchwoman Clara Burel (6-4, 6-4).
Udvardy, ranked No 108, beat Italian wildcard Lucrezia Stefanini (6-1, 7-6 (4)) in the previous round.
