Palermo Open: Erika Andreeva into second round

Russian Erika Andreeva advanced to the last 16 of the Palermo Open by beating Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 6 seed, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Tuesday.

Andreeva, ranked No 159 in the world and older sister of Mirra Andreeva who made a stirring run to the fourth round at Wimbledon earlier this month, will face Colombian Camila Osorio in the second round.
