Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova beat Belarusian Victoria Azarenka 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to reach the second round of the Ostrava Open at the Ostravar Aréna on Monday.
Alexandrova, ranked No 21, will play the winner of the match between Emma Raducanu and Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed, next.
