Ostrava Open: Kasatkina beats Raducanu, boosts WTA Finals hopes
The Russian sits in sixth place in the WTA Race, on course to qualify for the season-ending eight-woman event

Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed, defeated former US Open champion Emma Raducanu 7-5, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Ostrava Open at the Ostravar Aréna on Tuesday afternoon.
Kasatkina, ranked No 11, will face Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova next.
The victory boosts the Russian’s hopes of qualifying for the season-ending WTA Finals. She currently sits sixth in the WTA Race standings
