Following an absence of more than 50 years, women’s tennis is returning to Queen’s Club this summer and the first members of the 2025 player field were announced on Tuesday.

Among those headlining the lineup are four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka, reigning Australian Open winner Madison Keys and world No 11 Daria Kasatkina. Also are the list are Great Britain’s own Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter.

This marks the first time since 1973 that the WTA Tour is hitting the grass courts of Queen’s Club. The last tour-level women’s match played on those courts was the ’73 final in which Olga Morozova beat Evonne Goolagong 6-2, 6-3.

Former British player Laura Robson has been appointed the tournament director of this new WTA 500 event. It will begin on June 9 — immediately after the French Open — and will be followed by the usual men’s ATP 500 tournament at Queen’s Club.
