Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 3 seed, defeated Spaniard Rebeka Masarova, the top seed, 6-4, 6-4 to move into the final of the Open Internacional Femení Solgironès on Saturday.
Udvardy, ranked No 97, will play the winner of the match between Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 7 seed, and Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Hungarian won against Bulgarian Sesil Karatantcheva (6-3, 6-3), Georgian qualifier Ekaterine Gorgodze (5-7, 6-0, 6-1) and Slovenian Kaja Juvan (7-6 (1), 6-1).
Masarova, ranked No 71, won against Cagla Buyukakcay (6-3, 3-6, 6-3), Swiss Ylena In-Albon (6-1, 6-1) and Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the No 5 seed (3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4) in the previous rounds.
