Barbora Palicova moved into the last eight of the Open In Arte Angers Loire by winning against American wildcard Clervie Ngounoue 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 on Thursday.
Palicova, ranked No 188, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Clara Burel, the top seed, and German Mona Barthel next.
Ahead of her victory, Barbora Palicova beat Japanese Sara Saito (6-4, 6-4).
Ngounoue, ranked No 293, defeated Frenchwoman Jessika Ponchet, the No 7 seed (6-4, 6-3) in the previous round.
