Dodin, ranked No 113, will play the winner of the match between Swiss wildcard Belinda Bencic and Georgian Mariam Bolkvadze next.
The Frenchwoman defeated Brenda Fruhvirtova (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round.
In the 32, Fruhvirtova, ranked No 205, beat Russian Margarita Gasparyan (6-1, 1-6, 6-1).
