Open delle Puglie: Podoroska breezes past Ricci to reach last four
Nadia Podoroska defeated Beatrice Ricci 6-2, 6-3 and will play the winner of the match between Eva Lys and Anca Todoni in the next round

Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the top seed, moved into the semi-finals of the Open delle Puglie by beating Italian qualifier Beatrice Ricci 6-2, 6-3 on Friday.
Podoroska, ranked No 59, will face the winner of the match between German Eva Lys and Romanian Anca Todoni next.
In the previous rounds, the Argentinian won against Romanian Cristina Dinu (6-2, 6-3) and American Louisa Chirico (1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2).
Beatrice Ricci defeated wildcard Nuria Brancaccio (7-6 (4), 6-1) and edged out Chinese Xiaodi You (7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
