Austrian Julia Grabher beat Hungarian Reka Luca Jani 6-4, 6-1 to reach the final of the Open delle Puglie on Saturday evening.
Grabher, ranked No 120, will face the winner of the match between qualifier Nuria Brancaccio and wildcard Matilde Paoletti next.
Ahead of her victory, the Austrian won against Italian wildcard Lucrezia Stefanini (6-3, 6-2), Su Jeong Jang (7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-1) and Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the top seed (4-6, 6-4, 6-1).
Jani, ranked No 133, won against Slovenian Dalila Jakupovic (5-5 ret.), Romanian Alexandra Cadanțu-Ignatik (2-6, 6-3, 6-3) and Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the No 5 seed (3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (5)) earlier in the tournament.
