Swiss Celine Naef reached the semi-finals of the Open BLS de Limoges by winning against Russian Erika Andreeva, the No 5 seed, 7-5, 6-4 on Friday.
Naef, ranked No 181, will play the winner of the match between lucky loser Manon Leonard and Elsa Jacquemot next.
The 19-year-old Swiss beat Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin, the No 9 seed (6-3, 6-1) and Japanese Sara Saito (6-0, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Andreeva, ranked No 79, defeated qualifier Ipek Oz (7-6 (5), 6-4) and Liechtensteiner Kathinka von Deichmann (6-3, 2-6, 6-3).
