Dane Clara Tauson, the No 4 seed, moved into the semi-finals of the Oeiras Ladies Open by defeating Portuguese wildcard Matilde Jorge 6-1, 6-3.
Tauson, ranked No 87, will face American Bernarda Pera, the top seed, next.
In the previous rounds, the 21-year-old Dane won against Frenchwoman Carole Monnet (6-3, 6-1) and Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (6-3, 6-4).
Matilde Jorge beat wildcard Ana Filipa Santos (6-2, 7-5) and No 5 seed Harriet Dart (6-3, 6-1) earlier in the tournament.
