French wildcard Kristina Mladenovic beat American lucky loser Varvara Lepchenko 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the last 4 of the Oeiras Ladies Open.
Mladenovic, ranked No 252, will face Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens next.
The Frenchwoman beat Canadian lucky loser Katherine Sebov (6-4, 6-2) and Francesca Jones (6-4, 7-6 (6)) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Lepchenko, ranked No 258, defeated Slovak Rebecca Sramkova, the No 8 seed (7-6 (5), 7-5) and Austrian Sinja Kraus (7-6 (4), 6-3).
