Francesca Jones defeated Spaniard Rebeka Masarova, the second seed, 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-1 to move into the last 16 of the Oeiras Ladies Open on Tuesday evening.
Jones, ranked No 276, will play the winner of the match between Canadian qualifier Katherine Sebov and French wildcard Kristina Mladenovic next.
