Wildcard Heather Watson advanced to the last 16 of the Nottingham Open by edging out American Kayla Day 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Monday.
Watson, ranked No 158, will face the winner of the match between American Alycia Parks and No 6 seed Karolina Pliskova next.
