Nottingham Open: Top seed Sakkari into last 16

Greek Maria Sakkari, the top seed, reached the last 16 of the Nottingham Open by winning against Chinese Xiyu Wang 6-2, 7-6 (6) at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Monday afternoon.

Sakkari, ranked No 8, will face the winner of the match between wildcard Katie Swan and Frenchwoman Alize Cornet next.
