Nottingham Open: Jones withdrew before the quarter-finals
Emma Raducanu benefited from the forfeit of Francesca Jones on Saturday afternoon and will play No 3 seed Katie Boulter in the next round
Wildcard Emma Raducanu moved into the last four of the Nottingham Open after wildcard Francesca Jones withdrew before the match on Saturday at Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Raducanu, ranked No 209, will face No 3 seed Katie Boulter next.
Emma Raducanu beat Japanese qualifier Ena Shibahara (6-1, 6-4) and Ukrainian Daria Snigur (6-2, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Nottingham tournament, Jones, ranked No 249, won against American Caroline Dolehide, the No 8 seed (7-6 (3), 6-3) and edged out American Ashlyn Krueger (6-4, 4-6, 7-5).
