Nottingham Open: Raducanu reached the semi-finals
Emma Raducanu benefited from the forfeit of Francesca Jones on Saturday afternoon and will face No 3 seed Katie Boulter in the next round
Wildcard Emma Raducanu reached the semi-finals of the Nottingham Open after wildcard Francesca Jones withdrew before the match on Saturday at Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Raducanu, ranked No 209, will face No 3 seed Katie Boulter next.
Earlier in the tournament, Emma Raducanu won against Japanese qualifier Ena Shibahara (6-1, 6-4) and Ukrainian Daria Snigur (6-2, 6-2).
Jones, ranked No 249, beat American Caroline Dolehide, the No 8 seed (7-6 (3), 6-3) and edged out American Ashlyn Krueger (6-4, 4-6, 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Nottingham tournament.
