Nottingham Open: Pliskova makes semi-finals

No 6 seed Karolina Pliskova edged out Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the top seed, 7-6 (8), 6-7 (3), 7-5 to move into the last four of the Nottingham Open at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Saturday.
Pliskova, ranked No 50, will play Frenchwoman Diane Parry next.
Karolina Pliskova won against American Alycia Parks (6-4, 6-4) and wildcard Heather Watson (6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Nottingham tournament, Jabeur, ranked No 10, defeated Colombian Camila Osorio (6-2, 6-3) and qualifier Linda Fruhvirtova (6-2, 6-1).
