Nottingham: Pliskova tops Parry to reach 34th career final

No 6 seed Karolina Pliskova advanced to the final of the Nottingham Open by edging out Frenchwoman Diane Parry 6-7 (9), 6-1, 6-4 at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Sunday.
Pliskova, ranked No 50, will play the winner of the match between No 3 seed Katie Boulter and wildcard Emma Raducanu next.
The 32-year-old former world No 1 moves into her first grass-court final since 2021, and her 34th final overall.
Ahead of her victory, Karolina Pliskova won against American Alycia Parks (6-4, 6-4), wildcard Heather Watson (6-4, 6-4) and Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the top seed (7-6 (8), 6-7 (3), 7-5).
Parry, ranked No 64, beat Spaniard Cristina Bucsa (6-3, 6-2), Australian Daria Saville (6-4, 6-1) and Australian qualifier Kimberly Birrell (6-3, 7-6 (4)) earlier in the tournament.
