Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 5 seed, won against Japanese Nao Hibino 6-1, 6-4 to advance to the last 16 of the Nottingham Open at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Tuesday.
Frech, ranked No 52, will play the winner of the match between German Tatjana Maria and Colombian Emiliana Arango next.
