Nottingham Open: Burrage beats Cornet to set up first all-British WTA final since 1977 v Boulter
Jodie Burrage beat Alize Cornet 7-5, 7-5 on Saturday and will play wildcard Katie Boulter in the final
Jodie Burrage advanced to the final of the Nottingham Open by beating Frenchwoman Alize Cornet 7-5, 7-5 at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Saturday afternoon.
Burrage, ranked No 131, will play wildcard Katie Boulter next in her first WTA tour-level final.

It will also be the first all-British WTA final since 1977, meaning one of the players will win her first-ever WTA-level singles title in front of a home crowd.
Jodie Burrage won against Czech Tereza Martincova (7-6 (5), 3-6, 7-6 (4)), Pole Magda Linette, the No 3 seed (7-5, 6-3) and Pole Magdalena Frech (6-2, 3-6, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Cornet, ranked No 72, won against wildcard Katie Swan (2-6, 6-1, 6-4), Greek Maria Sakkari, the top seed (6-1, 6-4) and American qualifier Elizabeth Mandlik (6-3, 4-6, 6-3).
