Nottingham Open: Boulter wins all-British clash with Dart to claim semi-final spot

Katie Boulter won against Harriet Dart 6-3, 7-5 on Friday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between qualifier Heather Watson and Swiss Viktorija Golubic in the next round

Wildcard Katie Boulter won the battle of the Brits at the Nottingham Open by winning against qualifier Harriet Dart 6-3, 7-5 on Friday.

Boulter, ranked No 126, will face the winner of the match between qualifier Heather Watson and Swiss Viktorija Golubic next.

Ahead of her victory, Katie Boulter defeated qualifier Emily Appleton (6-1, 6-3) and Ukrainian lucky loser Daria Snigur (7-5, 6-3).

Dart, ranked No 143, beat Canadian Rebecca Marino (6-4, 6-2) and Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 5 seed (6-0, 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Nottingham tournament.
