Slovenian Tamara Zidansek won against Emily Appleton 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the last 16 of the Nordea Open at Båstad Tennisstadion in Bastad on Monday.
Zidansek, ranked No 145, will play the winner of the match between Thai Peangtarn Plipuech and Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 5 seed, next.
