Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the top seed, edged out Swede wildcard Caijsa Hennemann 1-6, 7-6 (6), 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Nordea Open on Tuesday.
Parry, ranked No 53, will play the winner of the match between Latvian Darja Semenistaja and Swede wildcard Mirjam Bjorklund next.
