American Ann Li reached the final of the Nordea Open by defeating Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz 6-4, 6-4 on Friday.
Li, ranked No 143, will face Italian Martina Trevisan, the No 7 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the American won against Slovak Rebecca Sramkova (6-2, 6-2), Russian Kamilla Rakhimova (6-2, 6-2) and Pole Katarzyna Kawa (6-4, 6-2).
Parrizas Diaz, ranked No 165, beat Argentinian Julia Riera (6-3, 6-1), Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-7 (6), 7-5) and German Tamara Korpatsch, the No 3 seed (6-2, 4-6, 7-5) in the previous rounds.
