Nordea Open: Jang wins the title
Su Jeong Jang won the final on Saturday afternoon against Rebeka Masarova
Su Jeong Jang won the Nordea Open final by defeating Spaniard Rebeka Masarova 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 at Båstad Tennisstadion in Bastad on Saturday.
Earlier in the tournament, Jang, ranked No 155, beat Frenchwoman Clara Burel, the No 3 seed (6-2, 6-1), Russian Irina Khromacheva (6-0, 6-1), Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 5 seed (6-4, 7-5) and Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova (6-2, 6-3).
Masarova, ranked No 146, beat American Grace Min (6-1, 0-6, 6-2), Swede Mirjam Bjorklund (6-2, 6-3), Slovak Anna-Karolina Schmiedlova, the second seed (3-6, 6-1, 7-5) and American Lauren Davis, the No 6 seed (7-6 (3), 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Swedish Open.
