Nordea Open: Danilovic wins title with win over top seed Navarro

Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 8 seed, defeated American Emma Navarro, the top seed, 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-3 to win the Nordea Open trophy at Båstad Tennisstadion in Bastad on Saturday afternoon.
Ahead of her victory, Danilovic, ranked No 94, beat Hungarian Reka Luca Jani (0-6, 6-3, 6-0), Swede wildcard Nellie Taraba Wallberg (6-0, 6-2), Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 9 seed (6-3, 6-3) and Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the second seed (6-4, 0-6, 6-2).
Navarro, ranked No 55, defeated Russian Polina Kudermetova (6-3, 6-2), Swede Mirjam Bjorklund (7-6 (2), 1-6, 6-1), Slovenian Tamara Zidansek (6-0, 6-4) and Louisa Chirico (6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
