Nordea Open: Danilovic into semi-finals, plays Putintseva next

Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 8 seed, beat Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 9 seed, 6-3, 6-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Nordea Open at Båstad Tennisstadion in Bastad on Thursday.
Danilovic, ranked No 94, will face Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the second seed, next.
The 22-year-old Serb won against Hungarian Reka Luca Jani (0-6, 6-3, 6-0) and Swede wildcard Nellie Taraba Wallberg (6-0, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Tomova, ranked No 99, won against Latvian Darja Semenistaja (6-1, 6-4) and Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet (7-6 (12), 6-4).
