Romanian Mihaela Buzarnescu won against Chinese Yue Yuan 6-2, 6-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Nordea Open at Båstad Tennisstadion in Bastad on Wednesday.
Buzarnescu, ranked No 127, will face the winner of the match between Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova and Turk Ipek Oz next.
The 34-year-old Romanian beat Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto (6-4, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Swedish Open, Yuan, ranked No 152, won against Australian Olivia Tjandramulia (6-3, 6-1).
