Ningbo Open: Putintseva withdraws, sending Kvitova into last eight
Petra Kvitova benefited from the forfeit of Yulia Putintseva on Wednesday night. She’ll play the winner of the match between Kamilla Rakhimova and Diana Shnaider in the next round

Second seed Petra Kvitova moved into the quarter-finals of the Ningbo Open after Kazakh Yulia Putintseva withdrew before the match on Wednesday night.
Kvitova, ranked No 14, will face the winner of the match between Kamilla Rakhimova and Diana Shnaider next.
Ahead of her victory, Petra Kvitova won against German qualifier Anna-Lena Friedsam (7-6 (2), 6-1).
Putintseva, ranked No 73, defeated Australian Daria Saville (6-4, 6-1) in the previous round.
