Spaniard Paula Badosa, the No 8 seed, won against Russian Diana Shnaider 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Ningbo Open at the Yinzhou Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.
Badosa, ranked No 14, will play Chinese wildcard Xiyu Wang next.
