Ningbo Open: Badosa books spot in semi-finals
Paula Badosa won against Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-3, 6-2 on Friday and will face Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed, in the next round

Spaniard Paula Badosa, the No 8 seed, won against Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 6 seed, 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Ningbo Open at the Yinzhou Tennis Center on Friday.
Badosa, ranked No 14, will face Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous rounds of the Ningbo tournament, the Spaniard beat Russian Diana Shnaider (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) and Chinese wildcard Xiyu Wang (6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-2).
Haddad Maia, ranked No 10, won against Katie Boulter (7-6 (2), 7-5) in the previous round of the Ningbo tournament.
