Putintseva punches ticket to Toronto second round
Yulia Putintseva battled past Canadian hopeful Katherine Sebov at the WTA 100 event in Toronto on Monday night. The Kazakh broke serve five times over the two hours and five minutes of play.

Yulia Putintseva moved into the second round of the National Bank Open by edging out Canadian wild card Katherine Sebov 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 at the Aviva Centre in Toronto on Tuesday night.
Next up for Putintseva is a showdown against No 4 seed Paula Badosa.
