National Bank Open: Pliskova advances to second round, defeating Krejcikova

No 14 seed Karolina Pliskova reached the second round of the National Bank Open by winning against Barbora Krejcikova 6-3, 6-4 at the Aviva Centre in Toronto on Monday.

Pliskova, ranked No 14, will face the winner of the match between American Amanda Anisimova and Canadian wildcard Carol Zhao next.
