Pole Maja Chwalinska, the No 7 seed, beat Swiss qualifier Ylena In-Albon 6-1, 6-2 to win the MundoTenis Open trophy on Sunday evening.
Chwalinska, ranked No 158, defeated Spaniard Angela Fita Boluda (7-6 (3), 6-2), Ukrainian Oleksandra Oliynykova (7-6 (1), 6-1), Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the second seed (6-3, 4-6, 6-1) and Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean, the No 8 seed (6-0, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, In-Albon, ranked No 342, beat Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-1), Belarusian Iryna Shymanovich (7-5, 7-5), Italian Nicole Fossa Huergo (6-3, 6-1) and Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the top seed (3-6, 7-6 (9), 6-2).
