Pole Maja Chwalinska, the No 7 seed, beat Ukrainian Oleksandra Oliynykova 7-6 (1), 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the MundoTenis Open on Wednesday afternoon.
Chwalinska, ranked No 158, will face the winner of the match between Portuguese Francisca Jorge and Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the second seed, next.
