Mumbai Open: Uchijima advances to quarter-finals
Moyuka Uchijima defeated Dalma Galfi 6-2, 6-1 on Thursday night and will face Dutchwoman Arianne Hartono in the next round

Japanese Moyuka Uchijima reached the quarter-finals of the Mumbai Open by beating Hungarian Dalma Galfi 6-2, 6-1 at the Cricket Club of India on Thursday night.
Uchijima, ranked No 151, will play Dutchwoman Arianne Hartono next.
In the previous round of the Mumbai tournament, the 22-year-old Japanese won against Frenchwoman Carole Monnet (6-3, 6-3).
Galfi, ranked No 120, edged out Australian Kimberly Birrell, the No 7 seed (6-2, 4-6, 7-5) in the first round of the Mumbai tournament.
