Russian Alina Korneeva won against Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet 6-1, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Mumbai Open at the Cricket Club of India on Monday night.
Korneeva, ranked No 134, will play the winner of the match between Indian qualifier Shrivalli Bhamidipaty and Japanese Nao Hibino, the second seed, next.
